We would like to congratulate Gerald Dzangare and Darlington Chiunye for an astounding performance in the Cyber Security Challenge for 2021, both scoring 73.3% which was the highest mark. The average score being 59.8%. they both managed to scoop fantastic prizes.
With regards to the importance of protecting the organization from cyber threats, the ICT department at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZim) has made it key to educate its staff on how to protect the company’s digital assets.
Cyber Security Awareness or Network Safety Mindfulness refers to the combination of both knowing and doing something to protect a business’ data resources. This fully equips a user to know and understand what digital dangers are hence saving employees from being attacked and saving the company from intruders.

Cyber Security Term of the Month: Internet of Things (IoT)
The Internet of Things is a name for the aggregate collection of network-enabled devices, excluding traditional computers like laptops and servers.
The IoT includes devices such as “smart” appliances e. g refrigerators and thermostats; home security systems, computer peripherals like webcams and printers; wearable technology such as Apple watches and Fitsbits; routers, and smart speaker devices like Amazon Echo and Google Home.
